Occasionally and in remote places, you can come upon buildings, fences, towers, dams, observatories or any other man-made structure when least expected. Sometimes you know what to find and where, but there is also that extra curiosity to investigate. Largely because there is often a historical value to the place you have come to. As remote as can be, ranger cabins, primitive stone huts, or large cairns can all tell us about the occupants of the area in which we visit or pass-through.
